I’m fortunate to be a part of an organization that remains at the forefront of technology. For the last eight years, I’ve had the privilege to lead our team and implement several industry-firsts that have given Florida-based Security First Insurance the insight to better understand customers and provide them with a seamless experience across every touch point.

I have more than 40 years of insurance experience and, as you may have guessed, a passion for technology. As chief operating officer at Security First Insurance, I’m able to work with a talented and hard working team to grow the business and navigate one of the most challenging homeowners insurance markets in the world. Through the use of technology such as predictive analytics, we’ve established an architecture that allows us to respond quickly to market changes and take the feedback we receive from our nearly 200,000 customers to guide our decisions. It takes strong data management to successfully manage growth while minimizing exposure to major threats.

I’m honored to have received the 2014 Premier 100 IT Leaders by IDG Computerworld, a publication I grew up reading, and be a part of Security First Insurance’s recognition as a 2013 IBM Smarter Commerce – Service award winner (IBM video – segment at 49 mins). I am also humbled to have been named one of Insurance & Technology’s Elite 8 for 2014. In 2105 I received Ventana Research’s Leadership Award for Customer Excellence. I travel around the globe speaking about the importance of innovation in an industry not generally known for technical agility. My mission is to change that thinking by demonstrating what is possible at Security First Insurance.
