American Red Cross

Since its founding in 1881 by visionary leader Clara Barton, the American Red Cross has been the nation's premier emergency response organization. As part of a worldwide movement that offers neutral humanitarian care to the victims of war, the American Red Cross distinguishes itself by also aiding victims of devastating natural disasters. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services, always with the aim of preventing and relieving suffering.

Calvary Christian Academy (CCA)

Calvary Christian Academy Athletic Program. CCA is a Christian School based in beautiful Ormond Beach, FL, committed to educating and empowering young people to fulfill their God-given calling and purpose in life. Their athletic programs include football, volleyball, golf, flag football, soccer, basketball, cheerleading, softball, tennis and track.

Chase Academy

The Chase Academy was formed by concerned parents, educational professionals and community volunteers who have all lent their expertise to develop an educational program that is designed specifically to meet the individual needs of students with high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Services are provided within a welcoming, secure environment sensitive to the aspects of ASD that cause students to be uncomfortable at traditional schools. The academy is looking to grow and to offer education services to students from K-12.

Children's Advocacy Center

The Child Advocacy Model of Child Protection provides a coordinated, multi-disciplinary approach to child abuse. Prior to this approach, abused children were forced to tell and retell the uncomfortable details of their abuse to police, child protective services, and others. At the Children's Advocacy Center, children relate the details of their abuse one time, to a trained interviewer in a home-like, safe atmosphere. The disclosure is videotaped and shared with law enforcement and the State Attorney’s Office. All agencies involved with the child and family meet at the Advocacy Center and create an informed, coordinated plan that provides optimal, unduplicated community services.

Community Partnership For Children

Community Partnership For Children

Community Partnership for Children is contracted with the Department of Children and Families and partners with several local contracted providers to deliver a full array of quality services to families and children. Services include family preservation services, case management, foster care, many therapeutic services, adoption, and mentoring.

Deltona Middle School Band

Deltona Middle School is home of the Chargers. Chargers are taught to be respectful, responsible and safe.The Deltona Middle School Band has several programs available to assist beginner and advanced students.

Florida Association of Independent Agents (FAIA)

Created more than a century ago, the FAIA is dedicated to enhancing the independent agency system through education, legislation, communication, and FAIA Member Services.

Friends of Children

Last year, there were 600 children removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect. Friends of Children, through community partnerships, were able to provide adoptive homes for 149 children, and safely reunited 278 with their families. Their efforts focus on bringing services directly into the home, restoring families, and connecting children with loving homes.

Halifax Health - Hospice 5k/10k

Halifax Health - Hospice of Volusia & Flagler is committed to providing extraordinary and dignified comfort and compassion to every person and family facing end-of-life. Halifax Health - Hospice cares for patients and families through a uniquely specialized team of registered nurses, licensed social workers, spiritual care counselors, Hospice aides, complementary therapists, and more than 600 volunteers who are on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Hughley Hoopsters - South Florida Youth Basketball Team

Hughley Hoopsters - South Florida Youth Basketball Team

Hughley Hoopsters is a basketball training program focused on young basketball players and founded by Sanchez L. Hughley. Mr. Hughley was fortunate to have basketball in his life and he credits the sport with changing and saving his life. He recognizes the benefits of youth sports and created Hughley Hoopsters to make a positive impact in the lives of children in the south Florida community.

Junior Achievement of Volusia County

Junior Achievement of Volusia County is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing programs dealing with financial literacy, entrepreneurship and workforce readiness to the students of Volusia County. The organization helps students make the connection between what they learn in school and what they will need to know for the future. This year they are celebrating 50 years in business.

Junior League of Daytona Beach

The Junior League of Daytona Beach, Incorporated, is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, to developing the potential of women, and to improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. They reach out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and committment to volunteerism. Community initiatives include a thrift shop, which has grossed over $1.5 million dollars in the past seven years alone, as well as the Sweetheart's Ball, an annual father/daughter dance whose proceeds directly benefit community projects.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society - North Florida Chapter

Security First Insurance sponsored the organization's MS Mud Run to support the 18,000 affected by MS in the north Florida area. Mud Run MS is a 10K (approximately 6 miles) fundraising race with boot camp-style obstacles that are surrounded by or consist entirely of mud. Funds raised from Mud Run MS go directly to the North Florida Chapter of the National MS Society to help provide programs and services to people affected by multiple sclerosis in the North Florida area, as well as support for national research for a cause and cure.

Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)

MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.

Operation Homefront

Operation Homefront

Operation Homefront Florida provides emergency financial assistance to military families, service members and wounded warriors in Florida. Requests for assistance are up 100% since this time last year. Security First Insurance partnered with Operation Homefront Florida and launched a Facebook fundraising campaign to help increase awareness and raise money to support military families. For every “like” we received on our Facebook page, we donated $5. The result: we provided Operation Homefront Florida with a $5,000 donation. Operation Homefront Florida still needs assistance. Operation Homefront was formed in February 2002. The organization was developed to support the families of deployed service members immediately following 9/11. Nationally, $.95 of every dollar donated to Operation Homefront goes to programs. Security First Insurance was the primary sponsor of Operation Homefront Florida’s 2011 Hero Campaign that culminated at Jacksonville’s Veterans Day Parade in November.

Ormond Outlaws Youth Roller Hockey Club

Ormond Outlaw Roller Hockey is a competitive travel and recreational league-based hockey team located in Ormond Beach, Florida. The program's commitment is to put together a premier organization based on the four main principles of teamwork, knowledge, skills, and friendship. Currently, over 200 children, teenagers, and adults along with their families are skating weekly within our program.

Ronald McDonald House Charities

Among the variety of efforts the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida offers, the "Share-A-Night, Light-A-Light" initiative focuses specifically on the families of critically ill and seriously injured children. More than 70% of the families who board with the organization can't afford the $15 per night donation, but no one is ever refused because of inability to pay.

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Susan G. Komen's fight with breast cancer is an amazing story of compassion, strength and altruism. A story that has affected thousands of lives and continues to change science. The Race for the Cure 5K runs and fitness walks have grown from a single race of 800 to more than 1.6 million people coming together to end breast cancer. Security First Insurance is proud to take strides with Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and to help Nancy G. Brinker fulfill her promise to her sister to end breast cancer forever.

The Russell Home

The Russell Home for atypical children in South Orlando has been in continuous operation for more than 50 years without any government support. The Russell Home is the only private, non-profit facility of its kind that provides support and services dedicated to severely handicapped children in central Florida.

United Way Women's Initiative

The United Way Women's Initiative raises funds from women, for women, over and above standard United Way gifts to help fund what the United Way does not have the capacity to fund.

Easter Seals

Easter Seals provides exceptional services, education, outreach, and advocacy so that people living with autism and other disabilities can live, learn, work and play in our communities. Easter Seals has been helping individuals with disabilities and special needs, and their families, live better lives for more than 90 years.

Camp Boggy Creek

Since 1996, Camp Boggy Creek has made it possible for children with serious illnesses to enjoy a camp experience in a safe, medically-sound environment.

Council on Aging

For nearly half a Century, Council on Aging has been the trusted source for the health & welfare for seniors in Volusia County.  They are the only non-profit organization providing service to all Volusia County areas that is capable of bringing together every resource available to help keep older adults in their home as they age.

Darcy Akers Fund

The Darcy Akers Fund was established in 1988 after the tragic death of a Darcy Akers. The Fund’s sole purpose is to provide scholarships to deserving local students in an effort to assist their post-secondary educational pursuits.

Halifax Urban Ministries

HUM has been serving our community for over 30 years. The services offered include temporary housing, food, case management programs and emergency assistance.

Halifax Humane Society

The Halifax Humane Society is a private nonprofit organization servicing the Greater Daytona Beach area in Volusia County, Florida. Halifax Humane Society was founded in 1937. They are an open-door animal shelter that receives over 13,000 animals annually through city contracts and owner surrenders. Kennel and cage capacity can comfortably house approximately 350 animals per day and is usually full.

Daytona State College Foundation

The Daytona State College (DSC) Foundation, through the help of its employees and donors, helps hundreds of students each year with scholarships. Many of these students may not be able to attend school without support.

Center for the Visually Impaired

The Center for the Visually Impaired is a non-profit agency dedicated to serving blind and visually impaired individuals. They enhance the lives and opportunities of their clients through job training, employment, Independent Living, Technology training and a multitude of community services.

Florida Young Artists Orchestra

Established in 1997 by a group of music professionals, teachers, community leaders and parents, the Florida Young Artists Orchestra (FYAO) is a nonprofit organization, committed to providing a positive, enriching, and high-quality orchestral experience for young musicians in Central Florida.

American Cancer Society

For more than 100 years, the American Cancer Society (ACS) has worked relentlessly to save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. Together with millions of their supporters worldwide, they help people stay well, help people get well, find cures, and fight back against cancer. 

Food Brings Hope

Food Brings Hope, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing collaborative solutions for families with children who experience hunger due to homelessness, poverty, or unfamiliarity with community resources. 

UCF Gold Fundraiser

The Golden Knights Club provides a way for individuals and organizations to help our talented young people receive a quality education and competitive experience.
