Security First Insurance Appoints COO and VP of Operations

Florida-based homeowners insurance provider, Security First Insurance Company, announces the appointments of Werner E. Kruck as Chief Operating Officer and Marilyn Reynolds as Vice President of Operations.  

With more than 30 years of domestic and global insurance experience, Mr. Kruck began his insurance career in 1975 and has wide-ranging expertise in product development and underwriting. Since joining the company in 2008, he has been instrumental in the company’s growth to serving more than 115,000 Florida homeowners and offering a menu of innovative products including a mobile site, iPhone application, online policyholder service center, and one of the industry’s most advanced policy servicing systems.

“In my career, I have worked with several national and global organizations playing a key role in business growth,” said Kruck. “Working for Security First has provided me, for the first time, the ability to respond quickly to market changes while using some of the most advanced technologies available. In my new role, I will continue to position our company to take advantage of growth opportunities with a clear focus on the company’s vision set forth by our owner Locke Burt.”

In 2010, Security First transitioned underwriting and customer service operations from being operated by a third-party business partner to providing services in-house. As a result, the company created several new positions and now employs more than 50 insurance professionals. The company attributes the success of the transition to Marilyn Reynolds.

Ms. Reynolds began her insurance career in 1996 and has more than 20 years experience in project management, system development, and employee and client training.  Security First Insurance Company started in April 2005 with Marilyn Reynolds joining one year later as Director of Operations. She currently oversees more than 20 of the company’s employees.
